Key Takeaways from EMEX 2024

Our Jellyfish team had an amazing time at EMEX last week.

The event was held at ExCeL arena in London from the 20th - 21st November. 

We were very proud to sponsor such a great event therefore we thought we would share our key highlights from the event.

Exciting Opportunities 

The scale of the event was massive - there were over 4,500 attendees, 100+ exhibitors and speakers, and 5 theatres meaning there were so many unique people from the energy industry to meet and network with!

We were able to meet many new people but also some of our lovely partners who collected their free scratch cards that offered exclusive discounts.

These partner scratch cards will also be available at ELCC. More information on ELCC is discussed at the end of this blog.

Theatre Talks 

The 5 theatres had varied talks on all things energy! 

This included:

Energy and Carbon Management Strategy 

• Leaders from energy spoke on their experiences, challenges and successes, and how to implement a smart energy future by focusing on financial planning, supply chain management and energy efficiency.

Sustainability and Net Zero 

• Inspirational talks on how we can all achieve net zero targets, by focusing on organisation, energy management and collaborative work.

Built Environment and Transport 

• Experts delivered insights on estate and fleet management, how we can replace fossil fuels and advice to implement a transition of energy used in transport systems.

Energy Future and Flexible Networks 

• Network specialists explored options of revenue opportunities and meeting emissions targets in order to adapt to the evolving world of flexibility markets.

BSI Academy and Interactive Sessions 

• We also had the opportunity to visit more intimate and hands-on learning workshops that consisted of small group discussions and interactive sessions. This new addition to EMEX reflected the values of sharing dynamic and collaborative ideas on achieving net zero targets. 

Net Zero Goals 

EMEX created a space that empowered attendees on how to contribute to help achieve net zero targets. It was lovely to see members and organisations from the energy industry collaborating on sustainability goals.

Overall, EMEX 2024 was a vital event for the energy community, with networking opportunities and innovative insights on sustainability and energy efficiency, which can help us move towards a net zero society. 

Upcoming Event: ELCC 

At Jellyfish, we love attending energy expos as we get to meet some of our customers and partners in person, and also some new faces.

The next energy expo we are heading to is the ELCC next week in Manchester.

Taking place at King's Conference Centre, on the 4th December, the ELCC is hosted by Energy Live News and is the ultimate expo for TPISs. Energy leaders and businesses will be there to tackle concerns facing TPIs today and present strategic outlooks. 

A team member from our partnership team, Paul Brannen, will be speaking at the following talks:

• Growth for TPIs at 10:30am - 11:00am.
• The Energy Markets - a view of the next 6 months at 14:00pm - 14:30pm.
