Non-Daily Meters
The majority of our customers use Non-Daily Metered supplies. NDMs are typically used for smaller businesses and sites, where it is less practical to measure daily gas consumption.
Instead of submitting daily readings, our customers submit readings to us whenever they can, by sending us a picture of their meter. The daily readings are then estimated from an industry algorithm. This algorithm is made up of four parts - the annual load profile, daily adjustment, the weather correction factor, and the rolling annual quantity. It is used to estimate daily gas demand for Industry for settlement purposes.
We then accurately bill the customer every month, based on these estimates and their actual meter readings, when they are sent to us.
Smart Meters
Smart gas meters will automatically send your readings to us! This eliminates the risk of customers forgetting to submit their readings, ensuring accurate readings every month!
